This is a LED table, but not just LEDS placed under the glass
surface. Those LEDs are on the floor level, and stretch
infinitely.
The table is the hollow wooden structure, with the glass at the
top and 34x34 cm PCB at the bottom. There are four mirrors at
the walls, creating the infinity effect when you move around. I
had the PCB (left from some old project), with the MCU and
drivers for 40×40 multiplexed LEDs. Not all of them are used
here, but the firmware dims them individually at random, so most
LEDS are dimmed on or off very slowly. The only exception is the
white net, created of white LEDs, which are always ON. There are
only 3x3 squares on the PCB, all others are their images in the
mirrors.
